Whoa.

Ok, so I may like “The Matrix” as much as the next guy, but I think these folks may have taken things a wee bit too far. And unfortunately, they seem to want to take the Baha’is with them.
From the website: Matrixism: The Religion of The Matrix
Though made popular at the turn of the Millennium by the motion pictures, the history of Matrixism actually begins in the year 1911. In that year Abdul Baha, son of the prophet Baha’u'llah, first made reference to “the matrix” in a series of talks given throughout the United States. These talks were recorded and subsequently published in 1912 as The Promulgation of Universal Peace. In these writings hs is quoted as having said “In the beginning of his human life, man was embryonic in the world of the matrix.” This is one of many quotes in this sacred religious text where “the matrix” has been referred to explicitly. Baha’ism recognizes the prophets of all the world’s religions to include; Abraham, Baddha, Jesus, Krishna, Moses, Muhammad and Zoroaster. It also lays claim to having been prophesized by all of these traditions. Through this connection Matrixism has a history which goes back to nearly one hundred years and a lineage through every major religion in the world.
riiiiiiiiight.
So, once you’ve caught up on your Matrix Scriptures, head on over here and join up. Maybe you’ll get to meet Keanu Reeves.

They changed the name to Matrixism: The Path of the One. I think they might be playing off of the new video game The Matrix: Path of Neo. Either that or they figure that a lot of people hate the word religion. “Path” sounds so much nicer :)

I’m proud to say that I am a Baha’i and a Matrixist!
