Baha’i Association for the arts

Someone sent me a link to the Baha’i Association for the arts a couple of days ago. You should all go and have a browse around and see what these talented artists are up to (most of it seems a bit dated, but isn’t good art timeless?). Just to get you started, let me send you over here:

Francisco González Pérez is a ridiculously talented photographer who I had the pleasure to meet a few years ago in Haifa, Israel. Aside from being an almost obsenely good photographer, he is also one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. At least I think he was being nice, as both my spanish and his english were somewhat lacking I really can’t be certain. Either way, the man takes a pretty picture.

Ridiculously talented? At least I think he was being nice? What kind of praise is that?
He pays for all his traveling expenses to take the photographs, and dosen´t get any commercial revenue from his work. He has received some prizes that help in the proclamation of the faith and also that his work is known.

As in: he’s so talented it’s ridiculous.
    See also: very very talented.
Also, the “At least I think he was being nice” thing was supposed to be funny. And if you had ever met Francisco, I think you would appreciate the comment as he is extremely kind and friendly in a way that could never be interpreted as anything else.
My understanding is that while he does pay his travel costs, and his books on the temples and women weren’t commercial ventures, he is, in fact, a photographer who works for a newspaper in Cordoba, Spain (it’s for his newspaper work that some of his prizes were awarded) and one would assume he gets paid for that.
