Auction of Dizzy Gillespie’s Personnal Effects

Written by ry on September 16th, 2005

They were auctioning the personnal effects of Dizzy Gillespie in Morris Plains, New Jersey on Wednesday. Around $500,000 was raised in the all-day auction that included a ‘religious medallion that Gillespie wore around his neck to celebrate his allegiance to the Baha’i faith‘ which sold for $3,500.
If you weren’t there then you’re out of luck, it seems that all the lots were sold.
