Here’s an article about the Faith in Le Monde. I really don’t read French, but I believe the headline is “free the Baha’i students” and the article seems to deal with the situation of the Baha’is in Iran.
En Iran, les membres de cette importante minorité religieuse sont interdits d’université. Quinze intellectuels et scientifiques de France et d’ailleurs lancent ici un appel pour que cesse une discrimination intolérable.
Les journaux ont rapporté récemment l’indignation des gouvernements de nombreux pays, dont le nôtre, quand Mahmoud Ahmadinejad déclarait, le 26 octobre 2005, vouloir rayer Israël de la carte. Cette déclaration du président nouvellement élu de la République islamique d’Iran, ne devrait pourtant étonner personne. Elle ne fait que révéler ce qui est le fondement de la nouvelle société iranienne. Depuis vingt-cinq ans, le régime islamique iranien nie l’existence de ceux qu’il ne veut pas voir, qu’ils vivent hors d’Iran ou sur son sol.

It says “Let the Baha’is Study!” and it signed by over a dozen scientists, artists, professors, and students from among the most prestigious faculties and universities in France, esp. the CNRS, which is like the US National Academy of Sciences and the Federation of American Scientists, rolled into one, AND there are at least THREE Nobel Prize Winners who have signed!!

In Iran, the members of this significant religious minority are forbidden from attending university. Fifteen intellectuals and scientists from France and elsewhere issue a call for an end to this intolerable discrimination.
Newspapers have recently reported the outrage of the governments of numerous coutnries including our own, when Mahmoud Adhmadinejad declared on October 26, 2005 the desire to erase Israel from the map. This declaration of the newly-elected president of the Islamic Republic of Iran shoudn’t surprise anyone. It only reveals that which is the foundation of the new Iranian society. For 25 years, the Iranian Islamic regime has been denying the existence of those it does not wish to see, whether they live outside Iran or on its soil.
