Bahá’í Quotes Syndication Service

Written by ry on January 23rd, 2006

An email dropped onto my desktop the other day from reader Bryn Higgins:

I just wanted to spread the word that I have started a new blog called “Bahá’í Quotes Syndication Service”

URL: http://bahaiquotes.blogspot.com/
Feed Link: http://bahaiquotes.blogspot.com/atom.xml (just copy and paste this link into your RSS reader)

I just felt it would be nice to find a site that would send out Baha’i quotes on a regular basis. Not finding it, I took it upon myself to set one up. I am hoping people will subscribe to this site to receive new quotes for their daily readings.

Now Bryn Higgins, aside from keeping my RSS box full of the word of God, is my new hero. When Bryn Higgins came up dry in his search for a nice little site that would drop quotations from the writtings into his RSS reader everyday did Bryn Higgins call it quits? Did he think to himself “well, I guess now I’ll never get the divine word onto my desktop everyday”? No, Bryn Higgins did not. He took five minutes out of his day and created a site that would do just that. And now Bryn Higgins, bahaiquotes superhero, is sharing the fruits of his labors with you. So the next time you look around your community and see only holes where cool-ass stuff could be, just remember Bryn Higgins. And then, after creating your masterpiece, write to Bahaiblog to tell us all about it. Just like Bryn Higgins did. Good man Bryn Higgins, good man.

Well, that news and review just made my day! Don’t hear from the
“golden boy” too often. It’s nice to see he has been making good use
of his time. I’m new to blogs and XML, RSS’s and the like. What a
    wonderful introduction!

If anyone is interested, there actually is a BCCA driven service that can send out a daily Bahai reading to your inbox.

To subscribe send an email (with your preferred email address) to
    bahai-readings-request@bcca.org

Much love from a Bahaiblog.net fan
