May 17, 2011, in Articles > Videos & Film, by

With some five to six million Baha’is in the world it’s no surprise that some of the most accomplished people in any discipline are bound to be Baha’i. Being a bit of a television and movie junkie I decided to find out if there were any famous Baha’is in Hollywood. Sure enough shows like Heroes and the Office have featured Baha’i actors, as have movies like the Interpreter and the Godfather!

Here are six very accomplished Baha’is involved in Film and Television that you might have seen:

Earl Cameron

Earl Cameron

Awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2009 Queen’s New Years Honours List for his services to Drama, Earl Cameron is a hugely accomplished actor who has appeared in movies as diverse as the James Bond flick, Thunderball, to the Islamic epic, The Message, with Anthony Quinn.

Justin Baldoni

I loved Omid’s movie The Infidel, which you can watch live-streaming from Netflix, I believe. It was terrific. But, he works in England, not Hollywood.

What are some well thought out introduction material on the Baha’i faith? Miss Larue made some comments that I believe in my heart to be truth…

Hi Mick!

That’s a great question! For the briefest of introductions to the Baha’i Faith, we made this short video: http://bahaiblog.net/2015/07/a-brief-introduction-to-the-bahai-faith/

The website http://www.bahai.org/ is the official website of the worldwide Baha’i community (unlike Baha’i Blog which aims to celebrate aspects of the Baha’i Faith but is just a collection of personal opinions and reflections of its authors and editors). On bahai.org you’ll find information about what Baha’is believe, the history of the Baha’i Faith, and a library of Baha’i sacred texts.

I hope this helps answer your question!
