If you’ve ever wondered how the Baha’i House of Worship in Wilmette was built, check out this video that reviews its history, design and construction. It includes some really great historical images dated back to the time of Abdu’l-Baha.
The construction of the House of Worship in Wilmette took 50 years, continuing through two World Wars and the Great Depression. More than 5,000 people attended the dedication service which opened the building to the public in May, 1953.
