Baha’i Blog’s “Studio Sessions” is an initiative where we invite Baha’is and their friends from around the world to come into a studio and share the Baha’i Writings put to music.
In this Baha’i Blog Studio Session, Shadi Kouchekzadeh sings “Trust in God”, based on a prayer by Abdu’l-Baha.
You can also download the audio version of this song from Baha’i Blog’s Soundcloud page here:
This song was filmed and recorded in Brisbane, Australia, February 2016.
Here is the quotation used for the lyrics below followed by the quotation and chords:
“Never lose thy trust in God. Be thou ever hopeful, for the bounties of God never cease to flow upon man. If viewed from one perspective they seem to decrease, but from another they are full and complete. Man is under all conditions immersed in a sea of God’s blessings. Therefore, be thou not hopeless under any circumstances, but rather be firm in thy hope.”
Dm C A
Never lose thy trust in God
Be thou ever hopeful
Gm Dm A Dm
For the bounties of God never cease to flow upon man.
If viewed from one perspective
They seem to decrease,
Gm Dm A
But from another they are full and complete.
Man is under all conditions
Immersed in a sea of God’s blessings.
Therefore be thou not hopeless
Under any circumstances
But rather be firm in thy hope.
