Festival of Ridvan
- Ridvan celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in 1863 in the garden of Ridvan in Baghdad when He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God. The Ridvan Festival is 12 days long and is also the time of year when Baha’is elect their governing bodies.
Hi Sonjel, I took the picture in the heading. No problem using it, but I am curious, where did you find it?

Hi David!
I found the photo on the Baha’i World News Service in this article: http://news.bahai.org/story/1141. They state in their terms of use that their photographs may be used however, if, for some strange reason, they are using your photo without your permission, please let me know and I’ll pass this information on to them. It’s a very beautiful image and I’m sure all involved want to make sure copyright is being followed.

The temple is truly extraordinary in conception and setting. I just wish that my dear friend and pioneer to Santiago John Caruana could have lived long enough to see the temple built.
