Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions is an initiative where we invite Baha’is and their friends from around the world to come into a studio and share the Baha’i Writings put to music.

In this Baha’i Blog Studio Session, we’re in Santiago, Chile with Alejandra Oyanedel and Sofía Acevedo singing “Fénix del Amor” in Spanish, which translates to “Phoenix of Love”, and is based on the Writings of Baha’u’llah.

This song was filmed and recorded in Santiago, Chile on 26 May, 2019, and it was composed by Alejandra Oyanedel.

Here is the quote used for the lyrics below, followed by the English translation and the lyrics as sung:

Lyrics & Quote

SPANISH

¡Oh Hijo del Espíritu! Rompe tu jaula y como el fénix del amor remóntate al firmamento de santidad. Renuncia a ti mismo y, lleno del espíritu de misericordia, habita en el reino de la santidad divina.

Baha’u’llah

ENGLISH

O Son of Spirit! Burst thy cage asunder, and even as the phoenix of love soar into the firmament of holiness. Renounce thyself and, filled with the spirit of mercy, abide in the realm of celestial sanctity.

Baha’u’llah

Lyrics (as sung):

¡Oh Hijo del Espíritu!
Rompe tu jaula
Y como el fénix del amor
Remóntate, remóntate
Al firmamento de santidad
Renuncia a ti mismo
Y, lleno del espíritu de misericordia
Habita, habita
En el reino de la santidad
Divina, divina, divina
