Ridvan celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in 1863 in the garden of Ridvan in Baghdad when He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God. The Ridvan Festival is 12 days long and is also the time of year when Baha’is elect their governing bodies.
The Ashes of an Old Order & the Phoenix of the Advent of a Divine Justice: Our Role to Arise to the Call of the Universal House of Justice’ is a presentation given by Dr. Shaheen Sean Tejarati at the 2020 Grand Canyon Baha’i Conference (held online).
Dr. Tedjarati is a Cancer and Robotic Surgeon and currently serves as the Chairman, Director and Clinical Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, at New York Medical College, and the Chief Clinical Integration Officer at Westchester Medical Center Health Network. He holds an MBA in Leadership in Healthcare from Yale University and a Master of Public Health in International Health from Johns Hopkins University. He completed his surgical training at The MD Anderson Cancer Center and Research Institute. He has been active in the institute process and core activities and has also served on variety of elected and appointed administrative roles in various Baha’i communities. He currently serves as a representative of the Institution of Ḥuququ’llah in Manhattan, New York City.
