The Baha’i World is an incredible global publication under the direction of the Universal House of Justice. Its first volumes were overseen by Shoghi Effendi, shortly after the start of his ministry as Guardian in 1921. The continuation of The Baha’i World volumes paused for several years but in May 2019, the publication was relaunched online (https://bahaiworld.bahai.org). Most recently the website has been enhanced and it’s definitely worth repeatedly exploring.

The website features thoughtful essays and long-form articles on a range of themes concerned with social progress, conveying advancements in Baha’i thought and action, reflecting the Faith’s purpose in the world and relating new insights to the big issues of our time. In recent years, articles have been published that cover the following topics: peace, agriculture and rural development, humanitarian relief, technology, migration, existential stress, governance, economic justice, racial unity, community building, as well as articles about the Central Figures. The website also features articles from previously published volumes, as far back as the 1920s.

The Baha’i World News Service (BWNS) recently released a story about the enhancements made to the website (you can read the full news story here) but one that I’m particularly delighted by is its “Special Collections” section where articles are curated by theme. One of these themes relates to Abdu’l-Baha. These resources are priceless and are particularly relevant and of interest in the coming months as we prepare to commemorate the Centenary of His Passing.
