Festival of Ridvan

  • Ridvan celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in 1863 in the garden of Ridvan in Baghdad when He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God. The Ridvan Festival is 12 days long and is also the time of year when Baha’is elect their governing bodies.

Dear members of the Bahá’í Blog team,
It has been a very long time since I wanted to write to you to express my deepest thanks for this blog, I mean this “space” offering dignified contents about the Bahá’í Faith. Exploring the blog for years has been such a “treat” in my week : reading the articles, getting informed about new books, listening to some conferences, some of the Bahá’í Blog casts or the songs, watching videos about the core activities or crafts,… My family really enjoys the studio sessions and the songs are used in our family or community devotionals, Feasts or Holy days programs. The blog gives us ideas to celebrate the Holy days in a more joyful way, and is of a great help to consolidate our Bahá’í identity. While tutoring a Ruhi book I often share some of the contents of the Bahá’í World News Service site or Bahá’í Blog with the participants. It gives such a broader view of the Faith and its activities throughout the world.
I send you my loving regards from France and please keep going !
