Baha’is believe in the power of prayer and you’ll find Baha’is and their friends, throughout the world, getting together to pray. This is often referred to as a ‘devotional gathering’ or ‘devotional meeting’, and they happen in diverse settings, whether in cities or villages.
The Baha’i World News Service (BWNS) has launched a new podcast series called “In Conversation”. During a conference of the Continental Boards of Counsellors at the Baha’i World Centre, several Counsellors joined in conversations that were recorded by the BWNS for a series of podcast episodes on youth and social transformation, the advancement of women, and on Baha’i moral and spiritual education initiatives.
In this episode, several Counsellors discuss Baha’i efforts to foster a culture of equality among women and men in communities around the world. The conversation includes Counsellors Bhavna Anbarasan from India, Augustino Ibrahim from Tanzania, Townshend Lihanda from Kenya, Yevgeniya Poluektova from Ukraine, Orlando Ravelo from the Canary Islands, and Niroshini Saleh from Sri Lanka.

We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their cultures; and to elders both past and present.
