In this episode of Mind & Soul Matters, Dr Louise Naylor, exercise physiologist and associate professor at UWA, shares insights from her research and clinical practice to explain the impact of exercise on our physical and mental health.
Mind & Soul Matters is a podcast from a group of Baha’i friends in Perth, Australia. Through conversations with everyday people, the podcast aims to broaden our understanding of mental health and spirituality, and to deepen our insights into the challenges and meaning of our lives.
We wanted to learn more about the podcast so we interviewed its creators Maya Rose, Farah Feeney and Nasim Kasiri and learned how Mind & Soul Matters was launched in 2021 as a means of contributing to the public discourse around mental health.
Mind & Soul Matters is available online and on all major podcasting platforms.

Thank you Dr Naylor for this talk as my friend and I really enjoyed it from start to finish.
We are oldies and live over 1,700 km apart but bonded back in 1996 through the Bahá’i Faith and are like true sisters. I’m in my early 70s and she, God willing, will be 80 next May although almost bed ridden and on oxygen full time. We haven’t seen each other for almost 10 yrs now, however we phone every morning to touch base and every single night for prayers and devotions and recently came across this podcast section.
Thank you to the team and keep up the great work you all do.
