Ridvan celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in 1863 in the garden of Ridvan in Baghdad when He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God. The Ridvan Festival is 12 days long and is also the time of year when Baha’is elect their governing bodies.
In this talk titled ‘This Is the Day’, shared in Victoria, Canada on 26 December, 2015, Dr. Hossain Danesh reflects on the dynamic relationship between God and humanity and he examines some quotations from the Baha’i Faith that describe the uniqueness of the time in which we are living, the maturing of mankind and our collective adolescence.
Dr. Hossain Danesh is the Founder and President of the International Education for Peace Institute, retired professor of Psychiatry (University of Ottawa) and Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution (Landegg International University), and author of many articles and 11 books in his fields of specialization.
