in Explore > Themes

June 18, 2023 will mark 40 years since 10 Baha’i women were hanged in Shiraz. This collection highlights Baha’i Blog content relating to the ongoing persecution of Baha’is in Iran.

Oh Yaran (7 Years) – Colby Jeffers ft Emphavoice (Official Video)

May 12, 2016, in Music > Recording Artist, by

This is the official music video for the song “Oh Yaran (7 Years)”, which was inspired by the #7Bahais7years campaign which took place last year in support of the seven imprisoned Baha’i leaders in Iran (often collectively referred to as ‘the Yaran’). The song was written by Phoenix, USA Hip-Hop artist Colby Jeffers, and features Russian singer Emphavoice.

It’s now been eight years that the Yaran have been unlawfully imprisoned, and in observance of the eighth anniversary of their arrest and incarceration, Colby Jeffers has just released remastered the song and released the official music video in conjunction with the Baha’i International Community’s newly launched global campaign called “Enough! Release the Baha’i Seven”, which will emphasize the fact that, under Iran’s own national penal code, the seven are now overdue for conditional release.

Use the hashtag #‎ReleaseBahai7Now‬ for the campaign, and “Like” the campaign Facebook page here.

Find out more about the campaign and how you can support it here on the Baha’i International Community website.

God ended apartheid in South Africa. He will also end it in Iran. It is amazing how the Baha’i Faith is spreading because of the sacrifice of these Beloved individuals. We must have unyielding Faith in God and pray for the Yaran’s protection.
