Festival of Ridvan

  • Ridvan celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in 1863 in the garden of Ridvan in Baghdad when He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God. The Ridvan Festival is 12 days long and is also the time of year when Baha’is elect their governing bodies.

Quote

Abdu’l-Baha

ENGLISH

O Lord! Make this youth radiant, and confer Thy bounty upon this poor creature. Bestow upon him knowledge, grant him added strength at the break of every morn and guard him within the shelter of Thy protection so that he may be freed from error, may devote himself to the service of Thy Cause, may guide the wayward, lead the hapless, free the captives and awaken the heedless, that all may be blessed with Thy remembrance and praise. Thou art the Mighty and the Powerful.

Abdu’l-Baha

Lyrics (as sung):

Oh Señor
Oh Señor
Oh Señor

Haz radiante a este joven
Y confiere Tu generosidad
A esta pobre criatura
Oh Señor
Oh Señor

Otórgale conocimiento
Concédele, concédele más fuerza
Al romper el alba cada mañana
Y resguárdalo al amparo de Tu protección

Para que se libre del error
Pueda consagrarse al
Servicio de Tu
De Tu Causa
De Tu Causa

Pueda guiar a los descarriados
Encaminar a los desventurados
Liberar a los cautivos
Y despertar a los desatentos

Para que todos sean bendecidos
Con Tu recuerdo y Tu alabanza
Para que todos sean bendecidos
Con Tu recuerdo y Tu alabanza

Tú eres el Poderoso
Tú eres el Poderoso
Y el Potente, y el Potente
Y el Potente, y el Potente

Precioso. Suena como si fueran 50 personas en un coro. Saludos desde España.
