Baha’i Blog’s “Studio Sessions” is an initiative where we invite Baha’is and their friends from around the world, to come into a studio and share the Baha’i Writings put to music.
In this Baha’i Blog Studio Session we’re in Lisbon, Portugal, with Bruno Silvestre who sings “Ó Amigo” in Portuguese, which means “O Friend” in English, and is from the Writings of Baha’u’llah.
This song was filmed and recorded in Lisbon, Portugal, May 2017.
PORTUGUESE
Ó AMIGO! No jardim de teu coração, nada plantes salvo a rosa do amor e não te desprendas do rouxinol do afeto e do desejo. Estima a companhia dos justos e evita toda associação com os ímpios.
Baha’u’llah
ENGLISH
O FRIEND! In the garden of thy heart plant naught but the rose of love, and from the nightingale of affection and desire loosen not thy hold. Treasure the companionship of the righteous and eschew all fellowship with the ungodly.
Baha’u’llah
Em G C B7 (repeat all the way through)
