In this Baha’i Blog Studio Session we’re in Lisbon, Portugal, with Bruno Silvestre who sings “Ó Amigo” in Portuguese, which means “O Friend” in English, and is from the Writings of Baha’u’llah.

Lyrics & Quote

PORTUGUESE

Ó AMIGO! No jardim de teu coração, nada plantes salvo a rosa do amor e não te desprendas do rouxinol do afeto e do desejo. Estima a companhia dos justos e evita toda associação com os ímpios.

Baha’u’llah

ENGLISH

O FRIEND! In the garden of thy heart plant naught but the rose of love, and from the nightingale of affection and desire loosen not thy hold. Treasure the companionship of the righteous and eschew all fellowship with the ungodly.

Baha’u’llah

Chords

Em G C B7 (repeat all the way through)
