Baha’i Blog’s “Studio Sessions” is an initiative where we invite Baha’is and their friends from around the world to come into a studio and share the Baha’i Writings put to music.
In this Baha’i Blog Studio Session, Walter Heath sings “Prayer is the Master Key”, inspired by the 18 December 2014 letter written by the Universal House of Justice to the Baha’is of Iran.
This song was filmed and recorded in Los Angeles, USA, August 2015.
When you’re feeling down and out,
prayer is the master key
And when you’re wondering what your life is all about,
prayer is the master key
Prayer is the spiritual conversation between you and God.
It’s the spiritual food that sustains the life of the spirit.
And powers selfless service to humankind.
When life seems to leave you behind,
prayer is the master key.
To turn despair into service to mankind,
prayer is the master key.
Ultimately, prayers must be lived in purposeful lives.
The sweetness of its melodies must gladden and uplift the heart
and reinforce the penetrating power of the Word.
If you want to be true to yourself,
prayer is the master key.
To find and tread the path of righteousness,
prayer is the master key.
prayer is the spiritual conversation between you and God
It’s the spiritual food that sustains the life of the spirit.
And powers selfless service, And powers selfless service,
And powers selfless service to humankind.
