As this year marks the 100th anniversary of the passing of Abdu’l-Baha, we thought we’d highlight all of our Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions that put excerpts from the Writings of Abdu’l-Baha to music. To date we’ve released 128 Studio Session songs based on the Writings of Abdu’l-Baha, and we hope you enjoy them! Continue reading
One of the prayers of Baha’u’llah that I first memorized as a child begins with the words, “Blessed is the spot.” Over the years, we’ve shared several Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions based on this prayer that are in different languages and sung by Baha’is in different locations and in this post, we’d like to share them all in one list.
Here is the prayer by Baha’u’llah:
Blessed is the spot, and the house, and the place, and the city, and the heart, and the mountain, and the refuge, and the cave, and the valley, and the land, and the sea, and the island, and the meadow where mention of God hath been made, and His praise glorified.
So without further ado, here are nine Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions based on the “Blessed is the Spot” prayer: Continue reading
Prayer is an integral part of Baha’i life, and Abdu’l-Baha said that “the most blessed condition is the condition of prayer and supplication”. We are so fortunate to have so many different prayers Revealed by Baha’u’llah, the Bab and Abdu’l-Baha, and a prayer which I personally love is the following prayer for healing by Baha’u’llah:
Thy name is my healing, O my God, and remembrance of Thee is my remedy. Nearness to Thee is my hope, and love for Thee is my companion. Thy mercy to me is my healing and my succor in both this world and the world to come. Thou, verily, art the All-Bountiful, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise.
With so much going on in the world, I’m sure we could all use this prayer and also offer it for others as well, so I thought it would be nice to share a selection of songs from our Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions series, which are based on the above prayer for healing by Baha’u’llah: Continue reading

Having recently celebrated the fact that we’ve published over 300 Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions around the world so far, we thought it would be great to share a number of Studio Session songs we’ve published based on a short prayer by Abdu’l-Baha which starts with “O God, guide me…”. There are two translated versions of this prayer which we’ve included below, however, the newest version is shown first:
O God, guide me, protect me, make of me a shining lamp and a brilliant star. Thou art the Mighty and the Powerful.
O God, guide me, protect me, illumine the lamp of my heart and make me a brilliant star. Thou art the Mighty and Powerful.
So here are 10 Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions based on the “O God Guide Me” prayer by Abdu’l-Baba that we’ve published so far, and please let us know if there are any you think we’ve missed in the comments section below. Continue reading
With the recent passing of Mrs. Violette Haake, Dr. Farzam Arbab, and Mr. Douglas Martin, plus the countless other souls who have “abandoned the physical garment and have ascended to the spiritual world”, as Abdu’l-Baha puts it in one of His prayers for the departed, I thought it would be befitting to share a few Baha’i Blog Studio Session songs which relate to the departed. (You can learn more about the Baha’i concept of death here: Exploring the Baha’i Concept of Life After Death).
Having just celebrated the fact that we’ve published over 300 Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions so far, and seeing how the Studio Sessions have been such a beautiful example of the diversity of peoples and melodies around the world, we thought it would be great to share a number of Studio Session songs on the theme of “unity”!

There are so many wonderful songs I’d love to share, and I encourage you all to go to the Studio Sessions playlist and play them all, but for now, we thought a good way to celebrate this achievement would be to list one example from each of the locations we’ve filmed in, and then list one example from each of the languages represented so far as well.
