Festival of Ridvan

  • Ridvan celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in 1863 in the garden of Ridvan in Baghdad when He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God. The Ridvan Festival is 12 days long and is also the time of year when Baha’is elect their governing bodies.

Universal Participation: A Short Story

September 1, 2015, in Videos > Animation, by

Universal Participation tells the story of Haji Amin, an eminent believer during the time of Baha’u’llah, and his experience collecting an important donation.

Universal participation does not mean that the sum of a donation is important, instead it is the amount of sacrifice with which each donation is given that counts.

You can learn more about the Baha’i Funds by reading Baha’i Blog’s article here: The Baha’i Funds an Introduction.<

Such a wonderful story. Living in the Congo, we often see the tremendous sacrifices that the friends there make in order to be able to contribute to the funds of the Faith. Many even make payments to Huququ’llah, even though their income will never reach the amount required for payment to that fund. I suspect this is one of the reasons the Congo is only one of two countries in the world designated by the Universal House of Justice to build a National House of Worship.
