Baha’is believe in the power of prayer and you’ll find Baha’is and their friends, throughout the world, getting together to pray. This is often referred to as a ‘devotional gathering’ or ‘devotional meeting’, and they happen in diverse settings, whether in cities or villages.
This short video, created by the Baha’is of the United States, explores what Baha’i consultation is. It discusses how consultation integrates listening, thinking, and speaking with others in a discipline of truth-seeking. Consultation is a prominent feature of National Convention, where Baha’is elect the National Spiritual Assembly, the nine member governing body who will govern the national affairs of a Baha’i community.
