I found a gem of an Instagram account that features people sharing prayers and quotations from the Baha’i Writings. I reached out to the creator behind the account, Vadieh, a Baha’i current living in Canada, to learn a little bit more. To begin, here is a sampling of videos:
Can you tell us a little bit about your Instagram account @reading_elation_by_vads?
My instagram page is a public page for anyone to listen to the Baha’i Writings or prayers for their own enjoyment, knowledge or guidance purposes. I thought showing videos of different people reading or singing the Baha’i Writings would be enjoyable, as everyone exudes their own unique energy.
What inspired you to create it?
I decided to create this page as my own way of teaching the Baha’i Faith. Social media has the potential to reach anyone in the world.
What have you learned in the process of creating content?
I’ve learned more about the Baha’i Faith myself, and will continue to learn, as I have to actively search out Writings for people to read.
How do you hope your videos will impact viewers? What do you hope they take away with them after watching?
I hope when people view the videos, the Baha’i Writings will resonate with them and if it can help someone in some kind of way, then the page has served its purpose.
Thank you, Vadieh, for sharing this with us!
