The Prisoner

Inspired by the early history of the Baha’i Faith, this short film by Jayce Bartok titled The Prisoner imagines a conversation between prison guards at the fortress of Chihriq in north-western Iran, where the Bab was imprisoned and where He revealed some of his most famous Writings. The two bickering prison guards, each harboring a difficult secret, connect while keeping watch over the Bab and find faith in unexpected moments.
