June 18, 2023 will mark 40 years since 10 Baha’i women were hanged in Shiraz. Their only ‘crime’ was their refusal to renounce their beliefs in a faith that promotes the principles of gender equality, unity, justice, and truthfulness. This collection highlights Baha’i Blog content relating to the ongoing persecution of Baha’is in Iran.
Youth and Leadership is a short film by Kyle Schmalenberg in collaboration with the Baha’i International Community. The video was made to accompany a recent statement by the Baha’i International Community titled Rising Generations: Weaving a New Tapestry of Community Life.
If you’d like to read the statement in full, you can find it on the website of the Baha’i International Community: http://bit.ly/2DYscMI
A thematically over-arching short film bearing the same name as the BIC statement can be watched here: http://bit.ly/2EbX68b
Two other videos explore other sections of the BIC’s statement. You can find these short videos on meaningful work and service and on a culture of friendship all on the YouTube Channel for the BIC’s UN Office: http://bit.ly/2shPbka
