Festival of Ridvan

  • Ridvan celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in 1863 in the garden of Ridvan in Baghdad when He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God. The Ridvan Festival is 12 days long and is also the time of year when Baha’is elect their governing bodies.

Personal Memories of Clara Dunn – An Online Presentation by Mariette Leong

September 6, 2020, in Videos > Talk, by

As Baha’is in Australia celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Baha’i Faith in Australia, in this special online presentation, we are fortunate to have Mariette Leong, daughter of Hand of the Cause of God Collis Featherstone, shares her personal memories of Clara Dunn (often referred to as ‘Mother Dunn’), who together with her husband Hyde Dunn, were the first Baha’is to come to Australia in 1920.

Special thanks to Mariette and Ho-San Leong, and to all those involved in helping to make this happen.

What a precious testimony of Mother Dunn. My daughter Carmel, from France, had the privilege to serve at the Sydney Temple 2 years ago. My husband and I came to visit her, the 3 of us had the blessing to pay hommage to Mother and Father while visiting their grave and praying there.
My heartfelt thanks to Mrs Leong for this talk and the one about her beloved father I listened to few months ago.
