“Beautiful Struggle: Understanding Racism and Transforming Words Into Deeds” is a talk delivered by Dr. Ruha Benjamin at the Association for Baha’i Studies Conference in Orange County, California in August 2017. Dr. Benjamin is a scholar and teacher who writes and speaks widely about science and technology, race and inequality. She is an associate professor in African American Studies at Princeton University, where she studies the social dimensions of science and technology, race-ethnicity and health, knowledge and power.

In this talk, Dr. Ruha Benjamin shares how we can figure out what our role is, how we can understand the ways through which we see the world, and how we can share an understanding of reality through a lens of social science and a lens of spiritual wisdom. Throughout her discourse, she speaks about personal struggles and collective struggles to courageously impart the nobility of humanity.

The Association for Baha’i Studies (ABS) promotes the advanced study of the Baha’i Faith and its application to the needs of humanity, it holds an annual conference and sponsors seminars and symposia, engaging participants from all over North America. It publishes a peer-reviewed journal, ‘The Journal of Baha’i Studies’, occasional books and monographs, as well as other publications. It is also engaged in a number of initiatives to advance Baha’i studies among students and young adults and to stimulate broader interest in Baha’i studies.

  1. Now I could see it with my eyes and had loaded Play on SoundCloud Baha’Blog’s. It is wonderful. One can understand it in in English very well. I kannes also with the new and very expensive Enlischprogrammen well translate into German. I have bought the programmes from good in English journal. Many thanks Naysan
