The Baha’i World Centre has announced that a new volume of Baha’u’llah’s mystical Writings is now available and can be read online on the Baha’i Reference Library! Titled The Call of the Divine Beloved, the volume features five previously untranslated Writings, including a poem revealed during His time in the Black Pit of Tehran.

This poem is one of Baha’u’llah’s most renowned poetic works and it is called Rashh-i-Ama, or The Clouds of the Realms Above. The Baha’i World News Service describes it in these words:

[It] is one of the few writings He authored in His native land of Persia. The work, composed in 1852 during His four-month imprisonment in the Black Pit, is a poetic reflection on His first intimations of His station as a Manifestation of God.The book also contains revised translations of two of Baha’u’llah’s well-known works, The Seven Valleys and The Four Valleys.

  1. I just want to know, can the book also be translated into German or have I misunderstood something. Of course I can download it and translate it into German. But that is not the same!

    1. Dear Margrit,

That is an excellent question! I am not sure what plans the World Centre has for releasing this volume in other languages but we’ll keep an eye out for any further information in this regards. Thank you for asking!

  2. Nein, ich möchte wissen, ob das wunderschöne Buch auch in deutscher Sprache zu kaufen ist-Oder nur in anderen Sprachen herunter geladen werden kann? Existiert dieses wunderbare Buch in Deutsch? Dann kann ich es in Deutschland bestellen!? Danke lieber Naysan

  3. What I still wanted to say dear Naysan; There is no greater, more interesting psychology, psychiatry, neurology than Baha’i’ullah’s scriptures. If you really want to understand all these things, study intensively the words of the great love of Baha’u’llah! This is the greatest neuroscience I wish you dear Naysan and dear Finn, all Baha’i, a nice weekend

  4. Thank you dear Sonjel! Let me know if you know something! I’ll try the translation. But there is a difference. I greet you very sweetly and pray for you dear heavenly Father Baha’u’llah for you dear Sonjel and wish you a nice Sunday

  5. Dear friends,
We wish to mention that this new volume is also available in hardcover print format from at It contains seven Tablets, all revealed before 1863, including the long-anticipated retranslation of the Seven Valleys and the Four Valleys, the poem mentioned in this article by Sonjel, and other newly-translated Tablets of Baha’u’llah.

  6. Dear Sonjel,
We have been using The Call of the Divine Beloved as the reference work with documents from the Wilmette Institute for the past 14 months. We have been really pleased with the quality of the translation and the additional earning that has come from these seminal documents.
Most recently we finished our study of the Three Tablets. Paragraphs 9 and 10 describing the arrival of the recently ascended soul and its focus on the loftiest heights rather than looking back to its “Bowers and gardens”, “names and attributes”, was very rich in meaning.
I wrote to your father earlier today and hope he is well.
    Best Wishes
