“Ó, Uram! Hozzád térek menedékért (O Lord! Unto Thee I Repair for Refuge)” by Mariann & Orsolya

July 28, 2026, in Music > Studio Session, by

Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions is an initiative where we invite Baha’is and their friends from around the world to come into a studio and share the Baha’i Writings put to music.

In this Baha’i Blog Studio Session, we’re in Budapest, Hungary with Mariann Kerekes and Orsolya Pálinkás who sing “Ó, Uram! Hozzád térek menedékért (O Lord! Unto Thee I Repair for Refuge)” in Hungarian and English based on a passage from the Writings of the Bab.

This song was filmed and recorded in Budapest, Hungary in April 2023.

LYRICS/QUOTE IN HUNGARIAN:

Ó Uram! Hozzád térek menedékért, és a Te jeleidre figyelmez szívem. Ó Uram! Utazzak bár vagy légyek otthon, pihenjek, vagy dolgozzak, Te Beléd helyezem teljes bizodalmam, Te Beléd. Nyújtsd nékem hát a Te elégséges segítséged, hogy mindentől függetlenné váljak, ó Te, Kinek irgalma felülmúlhatatlan, Add ki részemet Tetszésed szerint, ó Uram; és tedd, hogy megelégedjek azzal, amit nékem rendeltél, azzal, amit nékem rendeltél. Tiéd minden hatalom a parancsolásra, a Tiéd.

LYRICS/QUOTE IN ENGLISH:

O LORD! Unto Thee I repair for refuge and toward all Thy signs I set my heart.

O Lord! Whether traveling or at home, and in my occupation or in my work, I place my whole trust in Thee. Grant me then Thy sufficing help so as to make me independent of all things, O Thou Who art unsurpassed in Thy mercy! Bestow upon me my portion, O Lord, as Thou pleasest, and cause me to be satisfied with whatsoever Thou hast ordained for me. Thine is the absolute authority to command.
