August 19, 2017, in Music > Recording Artist, by

This is the official music video for the song ‘The Movement’ by Colby Jeffers featuring Awu. The song was filmed in Awu’s hometown of Bamenda, Cameroon, and it aims to inspire young people across the world to wake up and use their power and energy to uplift humanity and make a positive difference. Focusing on positive qualities, such as love, hope, service, wisdom, and justice, the song calls on youth to tap into their spirit in order to be the change that the world needs.

Phoenix-based Baha’i rapper Colby Jeffers aims to deliver socially and spiritually conscious hip-hop music inspired by the teachings and scriptures of the Baha’i Faith. The lyrics to the ‘The Movement’ were inspired by the 2013 Youth Conference materials developed by the International Teaching Center, and you can read more about the background to the song here on Colby Jeffers’ blog article: The Story Behind the Song: The Movement
