Royal Falcon’ by Shadi Toloui-Wallace

January 15, 2017, in Music > Recording Artist, by

Shadi Toloui-Wallace has released this stirring video of her song ‘Royal Falcon’ from her latest album, Daughters of the Kingdom

In this video, Shadi sings one of my favorite quotations from the Writings of Baha’u’llah:

I am the Sun of Wisdom and the Ocean of Knowledge. I cheer the faint and revive the dead. I am the guiding Light that illumineth the way. I am the royal Falcon on the arm of the Almighty. I unfold the drooping wings of every broken bird and start it on its flight.1

We have also showcased Shadi’s videos ‘This is Faith’, which brings to music a poem by Ruhiyyih Khanum, and ‘Radiant Heart’, which she sings with her talented mother, Shidan Toloui-Wallace. We also talked to Shadi about her album Verdant Isle and the interview can be read here.

For more information about Daughters of the Kingdom, we’d recommend taking a look at Shadi’s website.

A wonderful song thank you. I love your voice and the arrangement. I am interested to know what the flugelhorn effect is please as I would like to try this with my own playing.

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for your kind remarks. As it was not I who played the horn I’m not sure if I’m the best person to ask, however to my knowledge Aaron used a mute on his trumpet to make those longer softer notes. Beyond this I have to apologies, I’m of very little use to you.

Best,
