Festival of Ridvan

  • Ridvan celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in 1863 in the garden of Ridvan in Baghdad when He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God. The Ridvan Festival is 12 days long and is also the time of year when Baha’is elect their governing bodies.

Junior Youth

in Explore > Community Life

Across Australia young people are participating in an endeavour that strives to give them a voice in today’s society. Through the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program, these junior youth groups are enhancing their power of expression, sharpening their spiritual perception, analysing the constructive and destructive forces of society and changing their surroundings through the service projects.

What is the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program?

December 7, 2015, in Videos > Animation, by

In this short 57 second animation, Baha’i Blog presents a brief explanation of the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program (JYSEP).

In neighbourhoods around the world, young people aged 12-15 gather together to participate in what is known as,the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program. In these groups, the Junior Youth develop their spiritual qualities, their intellectual capabilities, and their capacity to serve society by engaging in meaningful discussions and artistic expression – through drama, cooperative games, the study of literature, story telling and acts of community service, which all help the Junior Youth form a strong moral identity and empowers them to contribute to the well-being of their communities and the world at large.

For more information on the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program contact the Baha’is in your area.

Hi! I was wondering if there is a way to get in contact with the person who made this video? It would be awesome if we could get it in different languages, and wanted to see how we could make that happen!

Hi Farid! This video was made by Baha’i Blog and we’re working on releasing it in other languages. It’s a slow process but it’s something we’re excited about doing. Perhaps we could use your help! Is there a language in particular that would be most useful to you?

Thanks for the reply! Yes! Arabic is the language that we had in mind for here. If there is anyway I could be of service, let me know!
