Service to humanity is an act that springs from a love for all humanity and a recognition of its oneness. In this collection, we explore the themes and perspectives around this critical spiritual principle.
Across Australia young people are participating in an endeavour that strives to give them a voice in today’s society. Through the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program, these junior youth groups are enhancing their power of expression, sharpening their spiritual perception, analysing the constructive and destructive forces of society and changing their surroundings through the service projects.
In this video Sara Momtazian captures and documents the efforts of the Kenmore Junior Youth Group (Brisbane, Australia) in producing a short film exploring the effects that littering has on the environment.
The Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program is a global social-economic initiative from the Baha’i Faith. It is designed for the ages 12-15 years, the ages of Junior Youth. The program works on empowering junior youth by channeling their energies towards acting and reflecting on the betterment of society. They involve themselves in what is referred to as “service projects” in an area of concern or need as identified by the junior youth themselves.
