Ridvan celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in 1863 in the garden of Ridvan in Baghdad when He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God. The Ridvan Festival is 12 days long and is also the time of year when Baha’is elect their governing bodies.
At the 42nd Annual Conference of the Association for Baha’i Studies (ABS) Conference held in Atlanta, USA, ‘Elevated & Meaningful’ host, Sarv Mithaqiyan interviews Dr. Joy DeGruy after she delivers a talk titled ‘Exploring the History of Racial Injustice in the United States as a Context to Understand the Baha’i Writings on Our Most Challenging Issue’.
Dr. DeGruy shares invaluable insights about the Baha’i Faith and our role in healing the wounds that have left most divided and sick in the United States as a result of how African Americans and people of color have been, and continue to be treated today.
