Ridvan celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in 1863 in the garden of Ridvan in Baghdad when He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God. The Ridvan Festival is 12 days long and is also the time of year when Baha’is elect their governing bodies.
Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions is an initiative where we invite Baha’is and their friends from around the world to come into a studio and share the Baha’i Writings put to music.
In this Baha’i Blog Studio Session, we’re in Perth, Australia with Alexandre Evans, Asha Kiani and Alia Golestani singing “My Haven and My Refuge”, based on the Writings of Abdu’l-Baha.
This song was filmed and recorded in Perth, Australia, 9 October 2019.
Here is the quotation used for the lyrics followed by the lyrics and chords below:
Quote
Be calm, be strong, be grateful, and become a lamp full of light, that the darkness of sorrows be annihilated, and that the sun of everlasting joy arise from the dawning-place of heard and soul, shining brightly.
Abdu’l-Baha
