From a passage in the #bahai writings on prayer and meditation: Recite ye the verses of God every morn and eventide…Pride not yourselves on much reading of the verses or on a multitude of pious acts by night and day; for were a man to read a single verse with joy and radiance it would be better for him than to read with lassitude all the Holy Books of God, the Help in Peril, the Self-Subsisting. Read ye the sacred verses in such measure that ye be not overcome by languor and despondency. Lay not upon your souls that which will weary them and weigh them down, but rather what will lighten and uplift them, so that they may soar on the wings of the Divine verses towards the Dawning-place of His manifest signs; this will draw you nearer to God, did ye but comprehend. (Bahá’u’lláh, The Kitáb-i-Aqdas)

Abdu’l-Baha’s counsel on changing the world, in this extract from the #bahai writings: “Act in accordance with the counsels of the Lord: that is, rise up in such wise, and with such qualities, as to endow the body of this world with a living soul, and to bring this young child, humanity, to the stage of adulthood. So far as ye are able, ignite a candle of love in every meeting, and with tenderness rejoice and cheer ye every heart. Care for the stranger as for one of your own; show to alien souls the same loving kindness ye bestow upon your faithful friends. Should any come to blows with you, seek to be friends with him; should any stab you to the heart, be ye a healing salve unto his sores; should any taunt and mock at you, meet him with love. Should any heap his blame upon you, praise ye him; should he offer you a deadly poison, give him the choicest honey in exchange; and should he threaten your life, grant him a remedy that will heal him evermore. Should he be pain itself, be ye his medicine; should he be thorns, be ye his roses and sweet herbs. Perchance such ways and words from you will make this darksome world turn bright at last; will make this dusty earth turn heavenly, this devilish prison place become a royal palace of the Lord—so that war and strife will pass and be no more, and love and trust will pitch their tents on the summits of the world. “

I love the quotes but the one I like the most “…this endless universe…” is hard to read because some of the smaller letters blend too much with the block-style background.
Lol… maybe I’m just getting old & can’t see as well.
At any rate, thank you for the quotes.

Beautiful , profound , ideal , epic , surreal and absolute enlightenment are these words by these pure souls of the Baha’i faith ! Nothing In Bahaullahs prophesies have been proven wrong rather they all have been EXACT and history shows that.Without this faith I personally see no hope for the ills of mankind ! We must speak about demilitarizing globally since his forecast of atom bombs and the carnage caused by this fusion and fission may be irreversible! Now I believe is the time we Baha’is scream PUT DOWN THE BOMBS. BUILD SCHOOLS !
