The Art of Enisa Bijnouri

May 21, 2025, in Images > Visual Arts, by

Enisa Bijnouri is an illustrator and artist whose digital depictions of Baha’i Holy Places caught my eye with their joyful shapes and sense of light. In this images post, you’ll find some of Enisa’s art as well as some of her words about her craft, harmony and the power of beginning.

Can you please tell us a little bit about yourself?

Artist Enisa Bijnouri

My name is Enisa and I’m 29. I’m an artist and an illustrator with a deep love for nature, architecture, and spiritual spaces. I primarily work in digital media, but I also enjoy traditional techniques like watercolour and gouache. Through my art, I aim to create colourful, meaningful moments that invite reflection and connection.

I am currently working on different projects as well as the Baha’i Holy Places project. I have been planning on creating an artistic expression of the Baha’i Holy Places for a long time and I did try different techniques in the past such as watercolour illustrations. However when it comes to this particular project, nothing I made as a result was satisfying for me. Eventually I decided to go with digital illustration of the Holy Places which combines nature and their spiritual beauty.

I have always been interested in expressing my views through creative works including photography, videography, art, animation, etc. I’m glad that now I am able to give more time for my art. Because for me, art is a way to reflect inner feelings and to create joyful spaces that invite both myself and others into beauty and meaning.

Could you please tell us a little bit about your art and the media you use?

My art is based on storytelling through places—especially nature and environments. Architecture and nature itself has always been fascinating for me.

I primarily work with two mediums: digital and watercolour. I also enjoy experimenting with other ones such as acrylic and gouache. My goal is to create art that feels alive and spreads joy to the soul.

What inspires you to create?

I’m inspired by the beauty of “harmony”—when a place, a colour gives you joy and light when you need it the most. The Baha’i Holy Places, in particular, presents the beauty of harmony that speaks to the soul. I’m drawn to that feeling and try to express it visually.

What is some advice you’d give to anyone pursuing creative work?

Don’t wait for everything to be perfect—just begin. Your expression, your style, your sound will take shape through time the more you experience it. Creative work isn’t about being perfect; but it’s about feeling happy internally throughout the process.

Thank you so much, Enisa, for sharing this with us!

You can find Enisa’s work on her Instagram page.
