Baha’i beliefs address essential spiritual themes for humanity’s collective and individual advancement. Learn more about these and more.
Baha’is see the young as the most precious treasure a community can possess. In them are the promise and guarantee of the future. Yet, in order for this promise to be realised, children need to receive spiritual nourishment, such as can be found in the children’s classes happening all around the world.
“Brilliant Star” is a global musical project by singer-songwriter Ali Youssefi. The words of the song are a soft and tender prayer for children by Abdu’l-Baha, set to a soothing lullaby melody. This video was brought to life by 142 participants from 22 countries and territories, over 100 of whom are children!
Ali says that “this global collaboration is a heartfelt prayer for the children of the world, asking for their protection and for the light of unity and peace to surround them.”
Ali was also critical in helping us film Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions in Belgrade, Serbia (where he was living at the time), and from these sessions you can watch him singing “Jedinstvo (Unity)” in Serbian, “Oh Mi Siervo (O My Servant)” in Spanish, and “Know Ye Not” in English. He also sings “Blessed Is the Spot” along with Katie and Deborah Eckert from our Studio Session recorded in Antigua and Barbuda.
