“For Chris” by Eric Harper

February 22, 2025, in Music > Recording Artist, by

It’s my understanding that one way we can assist souls in the next world to progress is by offering prayers and acts of service in their honour. And I believe that art can be a form of service and worship.

“For Chris” is an instrumental piece by Eric Harper for his friend Chris Mock who passed away last month at the age of 42 after a long and terrible battle with cancer, leaving behind his loving wife and two children. Eric described Chris as “a devoted and active member of the Baha’i community in Victoria, BC, Canada, and anyone who met him was touched by his wit, wisdom, and unwavering kindness. He had a rare gift for putting others first—always ready to drop what he was doing to lend a helping hand.”

We hope that by sharing Eric’s song on Baha’i Blog, we contribute to honouring Chris’s soul and its eternal progress.
