Baha’is believe in the power of prayer and you’ll find Baha’is and their friends, throughout the world, getting together to pray. This is often referred to as a ‘devotional gathering’ or ‘devotional meeting’, and they happen in diverse settings, whether in cities or villages.
In this video we hear a prayer revealed by Baha’u’llah for making decisions sung by Elika Mahony with the China National Symphony String Quartet. The prayer was revealed for Samandar, an Apostle of Baha’u’llah, and it is meant to be repeated nineteen times, followed by reflecting on the decision, and then taking action.
The prayer sung is:
Thou seest me, O my God, detached from all save Thee and cleaving unto Thee. Guide me, then, in all mine affairs unto that which profiteth me for the glory of Thy Cause and the loftiness of the station of thy loved ones.
