Featured in: The Declaration of the Bab
On a spring evening on May 22rd, 1844, Siyyid Ali-Muhammad announced that He was the bearer of a Divine Revelation whose aim was to prepare the world for “Him Whom God Shall Make Manifest,” a Messenger of God known as Baha’u’llah. Baha’is refer to Siyyid Ali-Muhammad by His title, the Bab, which is Arabic for “the Gate,” and that eventful evening is celebrated every year by Baha’is around the world.
In honour of the Fast, Luke Slott has released an incredibly majestic and intimate “21 minute musical experience of the poetic, mystical beauty of Baha’u’llah’s words of tribute to the Bab.” This production involves the work of many talented musicians from around the world who collaborated with Luke to bring the production to fruition.
“The Tablet of the Immortal Youth” can be found in the Days of Remembrance where it is indexed in relation to the Declaration of the Bab, but it is worthy of repeated study and meditation at any time and Luke’s arrangement is a powerful way to contemplate its meanings.
While this song was not initially published on all platforms, you can find more of Luke’s music on his YouTube channel.
