June 18, 2023 will mark 40 years since 10 Baha’i women were hanged in Shiraz. Their only ‘crime’ was their refusal to renounce their beliefs in a faith that promotes the principles of gender equality, unity, justice, and truthfulness. This collection highlights Baha’i Blog content relating to the ongoing persecution of Baha’is in Iran.
Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions is an initiative where we invite Baha’is and their friends from around the world to come into a studio and share the Baha’i Writings put to music.
In this Baha’i Blog Studio Session, we’re in Paris, France with Mathilde who sings “Fais de mon coeur un receptacle (Make My Heart to Be a Receptacle)” in French, from the Writings of Baha’u’llah.
This song was filmed and recorded in Paris, France, December 2017.
Lyrics & Quote
Fais de mon cœur un réceptacle de ton amour et de ton souvenir. Unis-le à ton très grand Océan, qu’il déverse les eaux vives de ta sagesse et les flots cristallins de ta gloire et de ta louange.
[…] to make my heart to be a receptacle of Thy love and of remembrance of Thee. Knit it, then, to Thy most great Ocean, that from it may flow out the living waters of Thy wisdom and the crystal streams of Thy glorification and praise.
