The Birth of Baha’u’llah
in Explore > CalendarMirza Husayn-Ali, who is known to the world by His title, Baha’u’llah, was born in Tehran, Iran on 12 November, 1817. Baha’u’llah means “Glory of God” in Arabic and He is the Prophet-Founder of the Baha’i Faith. The anniversary of the day He was born is celebrated alongside the Birth of the forerunner of His Revelation, the Bab. These Twin Holy Days are celebrated annually as one festival where the closely interwoven missions of these two Divine Luminaries are remembered together.

The Portland Maine Baha’i community plans for 200 anniversary:
1-Short daily quote from Baha’u’llah being sent out from April 4th for next 200 days to a wider contact list
2- Donating 200 tulip to be planed at the public garden in the city of Portland Maine
3-Donating a garnet bench to the public park in honor of 200 anniversary
4- Planning an evening celebration in a Italian heritage center to accommodate 250 guests on October 21st.

We are offering a course at the L/A college on the faith and the station of Baha’u’llah as a new messenger. The class is scheduled for May 10th from 9:30 to 11:30 titled ” faith of our forefathers”
