Baha’is believe in the power of prayer and you’ll find Baha’is and their friends, throughout the world, getting together to pray. This is often referred to as a ‘devotional gathering’ or ‘devotional meeting’, and they happen in diverse settings, whether in cities or villages.
We’re back with our fourth episode of “Deck of Questions” with the expertly eloquent Rebecca and Mehran, two Baha’is living in Sydney, with flourishing careers, who share their insights on work life.
Rebecca is Head of Public Policy & Economic Graph, Asia-Pacific at Linkedin and a former senior diplomat and tech regulator. Mehran is Managing Partner at Mothership and Founder of Collabur.
We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we have!
In this episode, Mehran mentions Abdu’l-Baha’s profession. Here is a quotation on the subject:
“…[ Shoghi Effendi] would be very pleased to see your husband follow what the Master often repeated even to His own immediate family, namely the necessity of a profession. Of course you know that He always said His had been mat-making.”
(From a letter written on behalf of Shoghi Effendi to an individual believer, September 20, 1929)
HUGE 🙇 to Rebecca and Mehran as well as fullstackfilms.com.au for helping us make this episode!
