Baha’is believe in the power of prayer and you’ll find Baha’is and their friends, throughout the world, getting together to pray. This is often referred to as a ‘devotional gathering’ or ‘devotional meeting’, and they happen in diverse settings, whether in cities or villages.
This video, shared generously by the Association for Baha’i Studies for North America, features a talk from the 2023 ABS conference in Atlanta (USA) with Dan Perell and Yvette Allen from the Baha’i International Community’s Office of the United Nations. They share how the movement around climate and the environment could serve as a catalyst for global cooperation. In consultation with collaborators, the BIC has been exploring a number of contributions to the discourse, which have more recently been distilled in a statement titled One Planet, One Habitation: A Baha’i Perspective on Recasting Humanity’s Relationship with the Natural World.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia.
We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their cultures; and to elders both past and present.
