Featured in: The Birth of Baha’u’llah
Mirza Husayn-Ali, who is known to the world by His title, Baha’u’llah, was born in Tehran, Iran on 12 November, 1817. Baha’u’llah means “Glory of God” in Arabic and He is the Prophet-Founder of the Baha’i Faith. The anniversary of the day He was born is celebrated alongside the Birth of the forerunner of His Revelation, the Bab. These Twin Holy Days are celebrated annually as one festival where the closely interwoven missions of these two Divine Luminaries are remembered together.
In this talk by Mr. Hooper Dunbar, he shares his personal reflections, thoughts and comments in regard to the worldwide spread of Baha’u’llah’s resplendent Faith and its healing Message. Given the close proximity to the bicentenary of the Birth of Baha’u’llah, Mr. Dunbar invites us to consider the progressive stages in the rise of the Sun of Truth and the potential offered for greater awareness of the role Baha’u’llah plays in our collective lives.
Mr. Hooper Dunbar is a retired member of the Universal House of Justice, and has served at all levels of Baha’i administration for 37 years. He is also known for his works as an educator, publisher and translator, as well as being an accomplished painter and actor.
This talk along with others, was captured at the Association for Baha’i Studies conference in Orange County, California in August 2017
