November 9, 2019, in Videos > Talk, by

In this talk called ‘Sacred Stairway: Pathway to a Book’ given at the Ink of Light Baha’i Writers’ Festival in 2019, author Michael V. Day shares stories and insights from his trilogy of books about the Shrine of the Bab.

Ink of Light is an annual festival that explores and celebrates the work of Baha’i writers and creatives, who all come together to share ideas, learn from one another, and celebrate creative expression.

Michael V. Day is the author of a trilogy of books telling the story of the Shrine of the Bab from 1850-2001. The three books are: ‘Journey to a Mountain’, ‘Coronation on Carmel’ and ‘Sacred Stairway’. Mr. Day was the editor of the Baha’i World News Service in Haifa from 2003-2006. He was briefly a lawyer in New Zealand before becoming a journalist. In 1988, he moved to Perth where he became an award-winning news reporter, feature writer and foreign correspondent for The West Australian newspaper. Michael is now based in Brisbane, Australia where he works as a foreign affairs adviser as well as undertaking other Baha’i history projects.

they are definitely great and interesting gatherings! I can imagine it. It’s so beautiful when faith makes progress! I am very happy when the grave suffering in the world is over
