Abdu’l-Baha was the eldest son of Baha’u’llah. When Abdu’l-Baha passed away on 28 November 1921, He was eulogized as One who led humanity to the “Way of Truth,” as a “pillar of peace” and the embodiment of “glory and greatness.”
The 2022 Summer School for Aotearoa, New Zealand consisted of gatherings held locally from 27-30 December. The plenary presentation videos were intended as openers for further exploration and reflection by participants in subsequent workshops and sessions. This video is the third plenary session on the subject of “Contributing to Social Transformation”. Its speaker is Geeti Faramarzi and she explores what is being learned about social action and participation in societal discourses, how these endeavours have emerged under the guidance of the Universal House of Justice, the advances envisaged for the future, and the characteristics of the Baha’i approach.
In her innermost heart, Sonjel is a stay-at-home parent and a bookworm with a maxed out library card but professionally she is a museologist with a background in English Literature. She currently lives on Prince Edward Island, an isle in the shape of a smile on the eastern Canadian coast. Sonjel is a writer who loves to listen to jazz when she's driving at night.
