The Journey West podcast celebrates the centenary of Abdu’l-Baha’s travels to Egypt, Europe and North America in 1911-1913. Each episode features a reading of one of Abdu’l-Baha’s talks, as well as dramatized stories and historical accounts. Each episode concludes with a discussion of the talk that was featured.
In this episode, we hear about how, on the evening of August 30, Abdu’l-Baha arrived at the Maxwell home. He spent a total of six full days in Montreal, Canada giving several private and public talks. In a Tablet addressed to the region He says: “The future of Canada is very great and its historical events infinitely glorious. Thus it shall become the object of the glances of Providence and the manifestation of the favours of the Supreme Lord.” You can find out more about the context of that talk, as well as who helped put this podcast episode together, on The Journey West website here.
